The bill is aimed at raising attention to the Holy Quran and the tradition of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) as well. It is also meant to pave the way for more Islamic studies and researches in the future.
According to the newly-approved law, printing and publication of the Holy Quran versions will only be accorded to those who have already received license from the association, otherwise the matter will be judged illegal and liable to prosecution. Offenders will also be fined from 3 to 5 thousand dinars.
